Being The Eldest
A benefit of being the eldest is that I have developed many qualities that I have made me a mature individual. through experience, I have learned to be responsible, dependable, and to be earnest as well. For example, my parents would go out on weekends and leave my brothers in my care. They believe that I can take care of my brothers at home. By putting their trust in me, my parents have taught me to take full responsibility.
Besides my parents, my brothers also depend on me. They rely on me to help them with their school as well as with their problems in dealing with growing up. I have also learned to be earnest. Since I’m a role model for my brothers, i strive for the best in whatever i do. That is, i have to do well in school, never give up on any task given to me, no matter how difficult it may be. At first, I resented being the firstborn, but as i have become more mature, I have realized that it has really strengthened my moral fiber, my character.
